Save-the-Date rough comps!

Here are some Save the Dates that I'm working on for the "Shortiz" wedding. After we experienced the unjust exploitation of birdcages, we have changed the theme to "vintage elegance." I drew inspiration from Harry Potter's excellent layout design in the Daily Prophet and the Marauder's Map. Jenna wants to incorporate Scrabble into the design to give it a playful feel.

For the first one, I used the numbers of the date 4. 21. 12 to create a pattern and turned that into a frame. I really love how the numbers reflect each other so I went nuts.

The second and third ones make me think it could be an esteemed whiskey label. We might save that for the actual invitations and not the Save-the-Dates, as it would look like the most serious and slightly threatening game of Scrabble.

Since Jenna wanted her engagement photo AND Scrabble, all I could think of was "scrapbook." This needs work, obviously.
